Check the SIMs on Your Own CNIC or Number

Pick a tab and press the button to see the official PTA check for your own CNIC, or for the SIM in your phone. Nothing you type leaves this page, and this site does not look up other people's numbers.

13 digits shows the CNIC check (668). 10 to 11 digits shows the check for the SIM in your phone (667).

If the Zong SIM is in your phone, send MNP to 667 from it and the reply shows the name it is registered to. For the number of Zong SIMs on your CNIC, SMS your CNIC to 668. If you want the owner of a Zong number that belongs to someone else, that information is not public, and no website can lawfully show it to you.

Zong in brief

Zong is run by China Mobile Pakistan (CMPak). Zong numbers were originally issued in the 031 series, for example 0311 or 0315. Since Mobile Number Portability, that is only a starting clue: a 031 number may now be on another network, and a 030 or 034 number may have moved to Zong. Zong customer care is 310 from your Zong SIM.

Zong SIM owner name check: step by step

Use this when you have a Zong SIM and want to confirm whose CNIC it sits on. Common cases: a SIM a relative gave you, a number you bought from a shop that was “already active”, or a SIM you registered years ago and want to confirm is still in your name.

  1. Insert the Zong SIM and check it can send SMS.
  2. Write MNP in a new message.
  3. Send to 667.
  4. The reply shows the registered owner’s name, a partly hidden CNIC and the activation date.

A small SMS charge may apply. The check only reports on the SIM that sends the message. You cannot type in another Zong number and get its owner. Our 667 vs 668 comparison explains why the two codes answer different questions.

What to do with the result

  • Your name appears: nothing to do.
  • A family member’s name appears: PTA requires each SIM to be registered to its actual user, and the registered owner is held responsible for its use. Transfer it at a Zong centre.
  • A stranger’s name appears: stop using the SIM for anything important, such as bank or wallet OTPs, and get a SIM in your own name. A Zong centre can advise on transfer if the owner agrees.

Check Zong SIMs registered on my CNIC

This is the check that protects you. A SIM issued on your CNIC without your knowledge could be used for fraud, and you would be the registered owner.

  • 668 SMS: send your 13-digit CNIC, no dashes, to 668. The reply lists how many active SIMs are on your CNIC per operator, so you can see the Zong count. About Rs 2 plus tax.
  • PTA portal: enter your CNIC at cnic.sims.pk to see the total number of SIMs across all networks. It is free.

Neither one gives you the actual numbers. If the Zong count is higher than the Zong SIMs you use, go to a Zong centre to identify and remove the extra one. If you are near the limit of 5 voice and 3 data-only SIMs across all networks, see our page on the PTA SIM limit per CNIC.

Check owner of a Zong number that called you

Zong will not tell you who owns another subscriber’s number, and neither will PTA. Records are held by the operator, verified against NADRA, and shared with law enforcement only through legal process. Sites promising “Zong SIM owner details by number” are not connected to Zong. They tend to show old leaked data or made-up results, and some keep the numbers and CNICs people enter. See SIM details by number for what can and cannot be found.

You can confirm the network. Send N 03XXXXXXXXX to 76367. The reply names the current network, such as Zong. It costs Rs 2 plus tax and never shows the owner.

If a Zong number is harassing, threatening or scamming you, the right route is a report to NCCIA on 1799 with screenshots and call logs. They can act on subscriber records you cannot see.

Zong SIM problems that need a visit

All of these are done at a Zong franchise or customer service centre with your original CNIC. Each one involves fingerprint verification against NADRA records, so there is no online or SMS alternative. We have not listed fees, because they can change: ask Zong at the counter or on 310.

SituationWhat to ask Zong for
668 shows a Zong SIM you never tookRemoval (disown) of that SIM from your CNIC
Someone else uses a Zong SIM in your nameOwnership transfer to the actual user
Your Zong SIM is lost or stolenBlock it by calling customer service, then a replacement SIM
Your CNIC has expiredRenew it with NADRA first, then confirm with Zong that your SIMs are in order
A deceased relative’s Zong SIM is still in useTransfer to an heir

On disown: PTA’s FAQ says operators must not treat “disown” and “removal” as separate. Your request to disown a SIM is treated as a request to remove it from your CNIC, after your biometrics are checked. Our guide on removing an extra SIM has more on preparing for the visit.

Expired CNICs are not a small issue. PTA reported 244,357 SIMs on cancelled or expired CNICs blocked between January and July 2026.

If Zong does not resolve it

  1. Lodge the complaint with Zong (310 from your Zong SIM) and keep the complaint number.
  2. Escalate to PTA online through the Complaint Management System, or call 0800-55055. PTA asks for your name, contact details, Zong’s complaint number and a short description.
  3. Fraud, threats or identity misuse: NCCIA on 1799.
  4. Spam texts from a Zong number: forward them to 9000.

Zong SIM owner details: FAQ

Is every 031 number a Zong number?

No. Number portability lets people keep their number when they switch, so a 031 number can be on Jazz, Ufone or Telenor. Send N and the number to 76367 to see the current network.

I bought a pre-activated Zong SIM from a shop. Whose name is it in?

Send MNP to 667 from it. If it is not your name, the SIM was registered on someone else’s CNIC. Get a SIM issued to you with your own fingerprints instead.

Does a Zong data SIM count against my CNIC?

Yes. Data-only SIMs count toward the separate limit of 3 data SIMs per CNIC, alongside the 5 voice SIMs.

Can I check a Zong SIM’s owner without the SIM?

Not through any public channel. You need the SIM itself to use 667.
