Jazz is Pakistan’s largest telecom network with over 80 million subscribers and prefixes 0300 through 0309. Every Jazz SIM is registered to a CNIC via mandatory biometric verification, which means checking Jazz SIM owner details is both possible and necessary if you want to protect your identity. This page covers all official methods, what the PTA returns, and what to do if a Jazz SIM appears on your CNIC without your knowledge.
Why Jazz SIM Ownership Verification Matters
Jazz SIMs are directly linked to JazzCash Pakistan’s largest mobile wallet — and serve as the OTP channel for dozens of banks. A fraudulent Jazz SIM on your CNIC gives an attacker access to your JazzCash account, bank OTPs, and any service using your mobile number for two-factor authentication.
PTA data from 2025 puts SIM swap fraud cases in Pakistan at 89,000+ for the year, with average victim losses of PKR 185,000. Jazz SIMs, given their market share, are the most common target. Checking your own Jazz registrations takes under a minute and costs nothing.
MNP to 667 (Fastest SIM-Specific Check)
From the Jazz SIM physically in your device:
- Open the SMS app.
- Type MNP.
- Send to 667.
- Receive the registered owner’s name and a partially masked CNIC.
This confirms registration in seconds. If the name returned is not yours, the SIM was biometrically activated by someone else — report it to the Jazz franchise immediately.
PTA SMS to 668 (Full CNIC-Based Check)
To see every Jazz SIM registered under your CNIC:
- Type your 13-digit CNIC without dashes.
- Send to 668 from any network.
- The reply shows Jazz SIM count alongside other operators.
A typical Jazz-heavy reply: “Jazz: 3 active. Zong: 0. Ufone: 1. Telenor: 0. SCOM: 0.” If the Jazz count is higher than the number of SIMs you personally own, visit a Jazz franchise.
Jazz USSD Code (*321#)
Dial *321# from your Jazz SIM. The USSD screen displays all Jazz SIMs registered under your CNIC. This requires no internet and works instantly.
PTA Web Portal (cnic.sims.pk)
- Visit cnic.sims.pk.
- Enter your 13-digit CNIC.
- Complete the CAPTCHA.
- The portal shows a full network-by-network breakdown, including Jazz SIM count.
Jazz Biometric Verification Code (6001)
To check the biometric verification status of a Jazz SIM:
- Type your CNIC number.
- Send to 6001 from that Jazz SIM.
- Receive confirmation of biometric status.
A SIM that has not completed biometric verification is at risk of automatic DIRBS suspension.
Jazz Helpline (111)
Call 111 from any Jazz number (free). Request a SIM ownership check or report an unauthorised registration. For postpaid accounts, you can also visit jazz.com.pk and log into My Jazz account to view SIM registration details.
Jazz SIM Prefixes — Full List
Jazz numbers: 0300, 0301, 0302, 0303, 0304, 0305, 0306, 0307, 0308, 0309.
Warid (now merged into Jazz): 0321, 0322, 0323, 0324, 0325.

What to Do If Unauthorised Jazz SIMs Are on Your CNIC
Unauthorised Jazz SIMs are the most financially dangerous because of the JazzCash link. Act immediately:
- Run 668 check — confirm Jazz SIM, count.
- Call Jazz helpline 111 and report fraud.
- Visit the nearest Jazz Experience Centre or franchise with your original CNIC.
- Request biometric deactivation of unauthorised SIMs — processed within 24 hours.
- Secure your JazzCash account: call JazzCash helpline 4444 and freeze any linked wallet.
- File a complaint with the FIA Cyber Crime Wing at complaint.fia.gov.pk.
- Re-verify via 668 after 48 hours.
Jazz SIM Registration Process — How It Works
When you buy a Jazz SIM from any franchise or retailer, the activation process proceeds as:
- Original CNIC presented.
- Franchise staff scans your thumbprint via a NADRA-connected biometric device.
- NADRA’s MBVS verifies the print against the CNIC in real time.
- On a successful match, the SIM activates in your name and is recorded in the PTA’s national SIM database.
No SIM can legally activate without this biometric step. If a SIM on your CNIC was activated without your thumbprint, it means either biometric bypass fraud occurred (a reportable crime) or your CNIC and someone else’s biometric data were used together, which requires FIA investigation.
Jazz SIM Rules PTA Limits
Each CNIC can hold a maximum of 5 voice SIMs across all networks (Jazz included) and 3 data-only SIMs. Jazz enforces the cross-network 5-SIM rule through PTA’s DIRBS at the point of activation. If your CNIC is already at capacity, a new Jazz SIM registration will be rejected at the biometric stage.
