MNP to 667 (Fastest SIM-Specific Check)

From the Jazz SIM physically in your device:

1. Open the SMS app.
2. Type MNP.
3. Send to 667.
4. Receive the registered owner’s name and a partially masked CNIC.

This confirms registration in seconds. If the name returned is not yours, the SIM was biometrically activated by someone else — report it to the Jazz franchise immediately.

Unauthorised Jazz SIMs are the most financially dangerous because of the JazzCash link. Act immediately:

• Run 668 check — confirm Jazz SIM, count.
• Call Jazz helpline 111 and report fraud.
• Visit the nearest Jazz Experience Centre or franchise with your original CNIC.
• Request biometric deactivation of unauthorised SIMs — processed within 24 hours.
• Secure your JazzCash account: call JazzCash helpline 4444 and freeze any linked wallet.
• File a complaint with the FIA Cyber Crime Wing at complaint.fia.gov.pk.
• Re-verify via 668 after 48 hours.

Jazz SIM Registration Process — How It Works

When you buy a Jazz SIM from any franchise or retailer, the activation process proceeds as:

1. Original CNIC presented.
2. Franchise staff scans your thumbprint via a NADRA-connected biometric device.
3. NADRA’s MBVS verifies the print against the CNIC in real time.
4. On a successful match, the SIM activates in your name and is recorded in the PTA’s national SIM database.

No SIM can legally activate without this biometric step. If a SIM on your CNIC was activated without your thumbprint, it means either biometric bypass fraud occurred (a reportable crime) or your CNIC and someone else’s biometric data were used together, which requires FIA investigation.

Jazz SIM Rules PTA Limits

Each CNIC can hold a maximum of 5 voice SIMs across all networks (Jazz included) and 3 data-only SIMs. Jazz enforces the cross-network 5-SIM rule through PTA’s DIRBS at the point of activation. If your CNIC is already at capacity, a new Jazz SIM registration will be rejected at the biometric stage.
