SIM Owner Details in Pakistan

SIM owner details are the registration records behind a mobile connection: the name and CNIC it was issued against, the network it runs on and the date it was activated. You can check these details for your own CNIC and for the SIM in your own phone, using official PTA services.

Send your CNIC to 668 or use cnic.sims.pk to see how many SIMs are registered in your name. Send MNP to 667 from a SIM to see whose name it is in. Send N 03XXXXXXXXX to 76367 to find which network a number is on. No lawful service gives out a stranger's name, CNIC or address from their number.

Independent guide: CheckSimOwnerDetails.pk is not run by PTA, NADRA or any mobile operator. We do not hold subscriber records and never ask for your CNIC. We explain the official checks and link you to them.

The Basics

What Do SIM Owner Details Include?

Every SIM sold in Pakistan is issued against a CNIC (or a NICOP for overseas Pakistanis, or a passport for foreign nationals) after a fingerprint match with NADRA's record. The mobile operator keeps that registration record. When people search for "SIM owner details", they usually mean one of the details below.

DetailWhat it meansWhere you can see it
SIM countActive SIMs on one CNIC, by operator668 SMS or cnic.sims.pk (your own CNIC)
Registered nameThe person the SIM was issued to667 SMS from that SIM, or the operator
CNIC on recordThe identity document used at registration667 reply (partly hidden) or the operator
Activation dateWhen the SIM was first issued667 reply or the operator
Current networkJazz, Zong, Ufone, Telenor, SCOM or Onic76367 SMS, for any number
Address, call records, locationPrivate subscriber dataOnly the operator, and law enforcement through legal process

In short: you can see the full picture for your own identity and your own SIM. For anyone else's number, the only detail open to the public is the network.

Official Methods

How to Check SIM Owner Details: The Official Ways

Each check answers a different question. Using the wrong one is the most common reason people think a check "did not work".

1

SIMs on your CNIC: 668 or cnic.sims.pk

By SMS: type your 13-digit CNIC with no dashes (for example 3520212345671) and send it to 668. The reply shows how many active SIMs are registered on that CNIC with each operator.

Online: open cnic.sims.pk, PTA's SIM Information System, enter your CNIC and press Submit. It shows the total. Foreign nationals can use the Foreign ID option on the same page.

Neither check lists the actual numbers. See how to match the count to your numbers.

2

Owner of the SIM in your phone: 667

Put the SIM in your phone, type MNP and send it to 667. The reply shows the name the SIM is registered to, with part of the CNIC and the activation date.

It only answers for the SIM that sends the message. On a dual-SIM phone, make sure the right SIM is selected. Use it after buying a SIM, before accepting a used SIM, or when nobody remembers whose name a family SIM is in.

3

Network of any number: 76367

Send N, a space and the full number (for example N 03001234567) to 76367. The reply names the network the number is on today.

Numbers can move between operators through Mobile Number Portability, so a 0300 or 0345 prefix no longer proves the network. This check shows the operator only, never the owner.

Cost

What Each Official Check Costs

The online portal is free. The SMS checks cost a few rupees from your balance.

CheckWhat you sendWhat you getCost
cnic.sims.pkYour CNIC on PTA's web formTotal SIMs on your CNICFree
668 SMSYour 13-digit CNIC, no dashesActive SIM count per operatorAbout Rs 2 + tax

Charges are set by the operators and can change. If you get no reply, check that you have signal and some balance, then send it again. A data-only SIM may not be able to send SMS.

Lookup by Number

Can You Get SIM Owner Details by Mobile Number?

For a number that is not yours, no. PTA, NADRA and the operators do not offer any public service that returns a name, CNIC or address for someone else's number. The 667 check works only from the SIM itself, and 668 works only with your own CNIC.

Getting or using another person's identity information without permission is an offence under Section 16 of the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act 2016 (PECA). It carries up to three years in prison, a fine of up to Rs 5 million, or both.

Websites and apps that claim to show "live" owner details usually rely on leaked or very old data, show guesses, or simply collect the numbers and CNICs that visitors type in. Their results are often wrong, because SIMs are disowned, reissued and ported all the time.

What you can lawfully do instead

  • Check the network with 76367 so you know which operator to complain to.
  • Report spam SMS to 9000.
  • Report harassment, threats or fraud to your operator and to the NCCIA cyber crime helpline 1799.
  • Verify the caller through a contact you already trust, such as your bank's official number.
Do not hand over your own details

Uploading your CNIC to an unknown "SIM database" site exposes you to the same fraud you may be trying to avoid.

Registration Rules

SIM Registration Rules That Affect Your CNIC

These rules explain what your 668 result means and why some SIMs are being blocked.

Up to 8 SIMs per CNIC

One CNIC can hold a maximum of five voice SIMs and three data-only SIMs across all networks. If your 668 count is higher than the SIMs you use, find out which ones you do not recognise. Details: PTA SIM limit per CNIC.

The SIM must be in the user's name

PTA requires every SIM to be registered to the person who actually uses it. The registered owner is held responsible for calls, messages and data on that SIM, even if a relative or employee is using it. See how to transfer SIM ownership.

SIMs on expired CNICs are blocked

PTA reported blocking 244,357 SIMs on cancelled or expired CNICs between January and July 2026. Renew your CNIC with NADRA to keep your numbers working.

SIMs of deceased persons are closed

More than 903,000 SIMs still registered to deceased persons were disconnected in the first seven months of 2026. Heirs who want to keep a number should get it transferred to their own name at the operator's franchise.

Biometric Registration

How Biometric Verification Ties a SIM to Your CNIC

When you buy a SIM, the franchise or retailer scans your fingerprint, and it is matched against NADRA's record before the SIM is activated. The same fingerprint check is needed for a replacement SIM, an ownership transfer, porting a number to another network and disowning a SIM.

This is why a real identity sits behind every connection, and why a SIM should not be issued on your CNIC without you being present. If a 668 check shows a SIM you never registered, treat it seriously: it points to a franchise error or misuse of your identity.

If Something Looks Wrong

Found an Unknown SIM on Your CNIC? Do This

A SIM you did not register can be used for fraud in your name, so act on it quickly.

1

Note the operator

Your 668 reply shows which operator holds the extra SIM. Take a screenshot.

2

Visit that operator

Go to the operator's franchise with your original CNIC and ask them to disown the SIM. Your fingerprint will be checked.

3

Get a reference

Ask for a complaint or request number. You will need it if the problem is not fixed.

4

Escalate to PTA

If the operator does not resolve it, complain to PTA online or on 0800-55055, quoting the operator's reference.

"Disown" and "remove" mean the same thing.

PTA has told operators to treat a CNIC holder's disown request as a request to remove that SIM from the CNIC. After the visit, run 668 again to confirm the count has dropped. Full steps: deactivate an extra SIM.

Lost or Stolen

Lost Your SIM or Phone? Protect Your Number

A lost SIM can be used to receive your bank and wallet OTPs. Block it first, then replace it.

Block the SIM

Call your operator's helpline from another phone and ask them to block the number. Then get a replacement SIM on the same number at a franchise, with your CNIC and fingerprint.

Secure your accounts

Tell your bank and mobile wallet provider, and update recovery numbers on email and social accounts that use the lost number.

Block the handset

For a lost phone, file a request through PTA's complaint system or call 0800-55055 with the IMEI. PTA blocks the handset only; for recovery, contact the police or CPLC.

By Network

SIM Owner Details for Jazz, Zong, Ufone and Telenor

The 668, 667 and 76367 checks work the same on every network. What changes is where you go to fix a problem.

Jazz SIM owner details

Zong SIM owner details

Run by China Mobile Pakistan. Helpline 310 from a Zong SIM. Use 667 from the Zong SIM to see its owner, and a Zong franchise to remove a SIM you did not register.

Ufone SIM owner details

SIM Data Websites

Are "SIM Database" and "Pak SIM Data" Sites Real?

There is no public SIM database in Pakistan. Subscriber records are held by each operator and checked against NADRA. Sites that advertise a "fresh SIM database", "live tracker" or "SIM data 2026" either show old leaked data, show nothing useful, or are built to collect your number and CNIC.

Stick to cnic.sims.pk and the SMS codes above. They are cheap, current and come from the source.

FAQs

SIM Owner Details: Common Questions

How can I check SIM owner details in Pakistan?

From the SIM you want to check, send MNP to 667 to see whose name it is in. To see how many SIMs are on your CNIC, send your CNIC without dashes to 668 or enter it at cnic.sims.pk.

How do I check how many SIMs are registered on my CNIC?

Send your 13-digit CNIC without dashes to 668, or enter it at cnic.sims.pk. The SMS reply breaks the count down by operator and costs about Rs 2 plus tax. The website is free and shows the total.

Can I find the owner's name from someone else's number?

No. No official service gives out a stranger's name or CNIC from their number, and getting it without consent is an offence under PECA Section 16. You can check which network the number is on with 76367.

What does the 667 reply show?

The name the SIM is registered to, part of the CNIC used and the activation date. It works only for the SIM sending the message.

Does 668 show my mobile numbers?

No. It shows how many SIMs you have with each operator, not the numbers themselves. To find an unknown number, visit that operator's franchise with your CNIC.

How do I remove a SIM I did not register?

Visit the franchise of the operator shown in your 668 reply with your original CNIC and ask them to disown the SIM. A fingerprint check is required. If it is not resolved, complain to PTA on 0800-55055.

How many SIMs can one CNIC have?

Five voice SIMs and three data-only SIMs, eight in total, across all networks.

Will my SIM be blocked if my CNIC has expired?

It can be. PTA has been blocking SIMs issued on expired or cancelled CNICs. Renewing your CNIC with NADRA keeps your SIMs active.

Can overseas Pakistanis check SIMs on their NICOP?

Yes, enter the 13-digit NICOP number at cnic.sims.pk. Disowning a SIM usually needs a fingerprint check at a franchise, so ask the operator what is possible from abroad.

Is checking SIMs on this website safe?

This website does not run any check and never asks for your CNIC. All checks happen on PTA's cnic.sims.pk or through the official SMS codes.

Check Your Own CNIC

See How Many SIMs Are in Your Name

It takes less than a minute on PTA's official SIM Information System. If the count looks wrong, the steps above tell you what to do next.

Sources: Methods checked against PTA's SIM Information System (cnic.sims.pk) and PTA's published FAQs in October 2026. The SIM limit follows the Supreme Court of Pakistan's ruling of five voice and three data SIMs per CNIC, restated by PTA in December 2025. The 2026 blocking figures are from PTA statements reported in August 2026.
